Located in "K11 Musea" — a new museum-retail complex in Tsim Sha Tsui's Victoria Dockside Development — the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) Design Store opened its doors to the public in Hong Kong in August. Elevant-Garde designed and implemented the smart lighting control system to control and automate the lights of different zones as well as spotlights on the showpieces. The user-friendly and intuitive system allows lighting to be controlled remotely through an iPad app interface that mimics the store’s floor plan. Shop staff can walk to any corner of the shop and feel the effects in real time as they adjust the lighting control with the iPad.
Elevant-Garde’s lighting control system was set up at a late stage of the project, after the lighting layout and hardware had been determined. Installation of the system requires no physical server and minimal space for hardware.
